How & why do jehovah`s Witnesses get away with using the Clergy / penitent clause in court cases,when they are on record as saying they have no clergy/laity distinction !
by smiddy inwhen it suits them , they claim their is no clergy laity distinction, yet in court cases they appeal to this privelidge of division ..on the other hand when a rank & file member is before the courts for whatever reason , he / she is not a representative of the wtb&ts , and is not a" volunteer" of the said organization and apparently not one of their clergy, nor apparently, not one of the laity .then again in their official publications they state that all baptized jehovah`s witnesses are ordained ministers of god......?.
if their is no distinction between these two classes then either they are either all clergy or .
they are all laity .

snake on bedroom floor when I got up this am!
by nuthouse escapee ini woke up and nearly put my foot on a 2ft long snake that somehow got up to the 2nd floor.
i screamed and ran out of the room and started crying.
i hate snakes and am terrified of them.

Leslie, sorry ro have teased you. I'm a city dweller. And although there are sometimes creepy crawly things, the only close encounter I've had with snakes were at the KH.

September 11, 2001- Where were you?

i was sitting at the desk on the computer, i kid you not... writing the security (hijacking) curriculum for 2002, when someone came in and told me a plane flew into the wtc.
we all thought it was one of our planes.

I had been very ill in the weeks preceding 9/11 and was asleep when it occurred. I woke up and saw the live shots of the island of Manhattan billowing with the thick black smoke. Images and sights of the falling towers; stacking, floor upon floor, upon floor. More images of the horrified and stunned looks on the faces of my fellow NYers. Head to toe, nameles people covered in ash, on streets desolated, as if in a nuclear aftermath. People jumping out of the WTC. Absolutely, devastating. And then to find out, that my accountant, who was a NYC Firefighter, perished that day. Devastating.

They sell pipsissawa here but they call it "scotch"
We do have lots of blackberries and I made Blackberry wine
My only complaint is just my personal preference for non-snow climate. I deal with it but go through more pipsisswa than usual.
